Chanel love...

There are lattice screens and feature panels that make appearances now and then in interiors {and exteriors for that matter}, but this one is perfection as far as I'm concerned.

I would like to say a huge congratulations to the talented Anna Spiro for being published in the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review book for 2010. This is such an amazing achievement & we are so proud of her!!! If that isn't enough, she is also featured in Vogue Living again {in a fabulous edition I might add - love the cover}!!!

Keep doing what you do you do best Anna - creating inspiring, colourful & wonderfully different interiors.

{Check} it out...

Checks are such a versatile element in decorating and can be used to create so many different looks. I love the gorgeous colours in the chair fabric above and the artwork is divine.

The sad part of life...

Life throws us many challenges, both good and bad. Whilst my family has experienced a number of these in our lives, we recently went through a devastating experience. A few days after my last post {just over a month ago}, I went for a routine check at our obstetrician only to find that at 23 weeks of pregnancy, our little baby girl had passed away suddenly. Words cannot describe the days that followed as I was induced that night and gave birth the next day. We named her Ella Skye and she was laid to rest a week later at a beautiful & simple service. The staff at the Mater Private Womens Hospital {in Brisbane} were absolutely amazing and the support provided was second to none.

We have been so fortunate to have had amazing support from our families, work colleagues and friends and have gained immense strength from them and also from each other. Life has been hard since then but we are working through the healing process and will come out the other side even stronger than before.

I have missed blogging and seeing what everyone else is up to. I will be back {I'm not sure how often} but will endeavour to catch up with all of your blogs soon.

Lots of love,
Kelly
