Snippets of life recently with both us & our families...

Just checking in as it has been a while... Time has absolutely flown since the little addition to our family {I can't believe Sam is now just over 10 weeks old!!!}. There has been great times with family & friends over the Christmas / New Year holiday period and lots of special memories have been created. We are enjoying this time so much as a family and I am muddling my way through motherhood :-)  The days are now settling into some sort of routine so I hope to be back here more often.

Introducing baby Sam...



Samuel Oscar at 4 days old



On the 24th November we had a new addition to our family arrive... Little Samuel Oscar was born {suprising us by being 2 weeks early}. It was such a wonderful & emotional day for both of us & also our families. He has settled in to our house so well & we are gradually getting used to having a little one around as well as learning to adjust to the new challenges that go with raising a child. He has grown so much already & we are so excited about having his first Christmas at our house, with both families coming to share in this special time.

I will share more pics in weeks to come & be sure to keep you all updated!!! As I get used to being a mother {albeit with limited sleep}, I will be back here much more often and promise not to have such a long break in between posts from now on!

Birthday surprises...

I have had an amazing past few days - my family organised a fantastic weekend for my birthday with 2 surprise dinners and them arriving from up north to celebrate with me {all without me having a clue} !!!! It was fantastic and we had heaps of fun. The photo above is of a stunning french chest of drawers that I received as one of my birthday presents. Lucky me :-)

Strength...

It's been a dark and emotional time for our family in the past week and a bit. But...skies are clearing and looking brighter. Time to love more fiercely those close to you and make the most of every moment.
