Exciting new project...

A little while ago I transformed an old mahogany dining table given to me by a friend with the help of Porters Milk Paint. It looks fantastic and I was so happy with the result. I was also given a set of matching dining chairs at the time, and the plan was to transform them also. They aren't the most comfortable chairs to sit on however, so I have been keeping an eye out in case something special came along. Well.... during the week it did!!!!

My last post about coffee tables resulted in some lovely {and very helpful} comments. One in particular from Sandy was meant to be!!! She emailed me about a pair of gorgeous side tables with glass inserts that she thought might work - well she was right. How fantastic is the world of blogging!!!  After seeing a picture of them {in the progress of being painted} I couldn't resist & they will now sit proudly in my rumpus room beside my white sofas {which is a post for another day}. As I changed my mind on where to place them, I am now still on the hunt for a coffee table!

Sandy also sent me some other pictures of gorgeous items she had painted & I instantly fell in love with a set of 6 French looking dining chairs all painted and ready for some gorgeous fabric. The beautiful pieces are photographed above. Now to decide on what I shall recover them in........ Let the fun begin!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend.
