It's beginning to feel a lot like...

... CHRISTMAS !!!

The last few weeks have been super busy {as most people are at this time of year} from my birthday, to family visiting, to end of year for work etc etc... I had a lovely day yesterday finalising my Christmas shopping and was so excited last night when everything was wrapped & looking beautiful. I love creating a mini theme for my gifts and this year went with a duck egg blue wrapping paper and a selection of red & white grosgrain ribbon {bought last year after Christmas in preparation}. The gorgeous tags are from one of my favourite stores Kikki K. How are your festive season plans going?

I'm back...

Well, I've come back to reality after a 2 week break with my family in Cairns. It was a wonderful christmas and new year with lots of relaxing and lounging about whilst enjoying some holiday fare!!! Our garden was like a jungle when we arrived back but after a hard days work today, it now looks respectable again! It's now time to focus on the year ahead and all that it may hold. I have many plans for this year and will hopefully start putting some in place in the not too distant future. One of them includes setting more time aside for painting, which I love. The painting above is one I did for a friend just before christmas and it was my first request {blue & white jars with pink lillies} which was most exciting. I was quite pleased with the result.

My little tree...

Here are some images of my humble little christmas tree this year. I went with simple baubles and ribbons tied on for decoration and the presents are wrapped in a blue/natural striped paper tied with pink twill. I am still on the hunt for an angel or star for the top of the tree, but haven't found one I love yet. May the hunt continue...

Hooray...

I spent last week finishing off my final assignments for the semester and then had a lovely weekend in Cairns with my family. After having my final class for the year last night and handing everything in, it was like a huge weight had gone.... What on earth will I do with my nights now after work? Get organised for Christmas I think!!!!!! I have bought a heap of magazines and will sit down with some old ones also for some inspiration. No time like the present {pardon the pun} :-)
